Many parents assume they'd notice if something were wrong — and that it wouldn't be their kid. But warning signs are often subtle, and substance use can easily get lost between everything else parents are already tracking: anxiety, grades, screen time, friend groups. In this session, Jason Zelus, LCSW, Executive Director of Zelus Recovery, an outpatient treatment center offering counseling, detox, and evidence-based care for adolescents and adults, will help parents recognize what's actually going on when a teen or young adult uses substances — and how to respond in a way that keeps the relationship intact.
